Eastern Market Flower Day in Detroit to return for first full-scale event since 2021

The event will happen Sunday, May 15

DETROIT, Mich. – Eastern Market Flower Day will return this spring with a full event for the first time in years. The event will happen Sunday, May 15, according to Eastern Market.

This year’s event will mark the first full-scale Flower Day since 2019 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of people are expected to attend to buy flowers.

Some people are still more comfortable in smaller crowds, so Eastern Market is also planning five Flower Season Tuesday Markets on May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. “The Tuesday Markets will have flower selections from Eastern Market growers, smaller crowds, and easier parking. Flowers will also be available for purchase in-person at our weekly Saturday Markets throughout flower season,” Eastern Market said in a statement.

Note that this year, no online sales will be offered. For additional information, head to the Eastern Market Flower Day’s event page on Facebook.
