DETROIT, Mich. – Michigan-based pizza franchise Little Caesars is joining the growing list of businesses pulling out of Russia.
The franchise Thursday announced (March 10) that they will be closing their Russian locations due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Little Caesars has just three storefronts in Russia, and they’ve only been in the market since February 2022, and according to Director of Communications Jill Proctor. In a statement, the franchise explains that they are coming together with other businesses around the world to push for a peaceful resolution to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Little Caesars has more than 5,000 locations worldwide. It’s the third-largest pizza franchise in the United States.
More than 300 large companies worldwide have stopped doing business in Russia since the beginning of the invasion, according to report. Among those large companies that have stopped Russian operations are McDonald’s, Starbucks, Coca-Cola and Pepsi (with some exceptions).
