Little Caesars is changing its Hot-N-Ready pizza for the first time ever

The iconic Hot-N-Ready pizza from Little Caesars no longer costs $5

Prices are going up across the nation on many food items, and pizza isn’t exempt from the trend.

For the first time since it debuted, Little Caesars is increasing the price of its famed $5 pepperoni and cheese Hot-N-Ready large pizza. They’re adding more pepperoni to the pie, too.

The large pizza debuted 25 years ago, offering a quick option for Americans looking to snag a large pizza at a low price. It quickly became a favorite for the busy lunch crowd and families throwing pizza parties. Now, the pizza will run $5.55 nationwide.

According to Little Caesars spokeswoman Annie McGraw, prices for the Hot-N-Ready pies have always varied by market. In fact, some markets saw the $5.55 increase a few weeks ago. The $5.55 cost is a temporary nationwide promotional cost. After the promotion ends, prices return to being varied per market, McGraw says.

As for the pepperoni, Little Caesars also announced via a release that its Hot-N-Ready will feature 33% more of the meat. The improvement to the Hot-N-Ready pizza is permanent, according to a statement. “The chain also continues to use fresh, never frozen Muenster and mozzarella cheeses, vine-ripened tomatoes picked at the peak of freshness and is the only major national pizza chain to make dough fresh in-house daily,” according to a statement.

“Change is good when it comes to giving our customers more of what they love and we’re changing our iconic HOT-N-READY Classic, adding 33% more savory, meaty pepperoni still at the country’s most affordable price,” Jeff Klein, chief marketing officer at Little Caesars, said in a press release.

Little Caesars’ Hot-N-Ready pizza promotion debuted at select stores in 1997. The company rolled it out nationwide in 2004.

Little Caesars is the third-largest pizza chain across the globe. The chain, which is headquartered in Detroit, has stores in all 50 states, as well as 27 countries and territories.
