USPS, UPS and FedEx Holiday Shipping Deadlines Are Fast Approaching

Christmas is approaching, and those planning to send gifts or cards in the mail should make note of earlier shipping deadlines. The major shipping companies have posted their holiday shipping dates for the United States, in a move to ensure customers’ packages get to their destinations on time.

As for how to go about shipping gifts, the United State Postal Service has posted a blog with tips to prevent shipping glitches. According to the USPS, customers should only send items in durable boxes, double check that they properly addressed packages and place a card inside the package in case the mailing label becomes damaged or falls off. Another tip is to leave extra cushioning inside your package, and stuff anything fragile with newspaper or packing material.
