Wayne County Aquatic Family Center at Chandler Park to reopen

The park will reopen on June 25

DETROIT, Mich. – It’s been two years, but Wayne County Parks have officially announced the reopening of the Wayne County Aquatic Family Center at Chandler Park. The park will reopen on June 25.

Among the parks’ attractions are a wave pool, two water slides and “Splish Splash Land” for kids, boasting more than 100 spray fountains. This summer will also offer a concession stand with refreshments and food options.

Wayne County residents are able to attend the park for $7 for children 13 and older, $5 for children 3-12 and $2 for children two and under. Admission for non-Wayne County residents is $8 for children 13 and older, $6 for children 3-12 and $3 for children two and under.

Swim lessons will also be offered at the part this summer, including beginner, intermediate and advanced. Classes run $50 per session for Wayne County residents and $60 for non-Wayne County residents.
