The Detroit Lions pulled off a high-profile win against the Washington Commanders last weekend, and now, one of their players is getting major recognition. Amon-Ra St. Brown set some major Lions and NFL records during the game, and now, the NFL is taking notice.

The second-year wide receiver has been named the NFC offensive player of the week for the second week of the regular season. During the Commanders game, St. Brown had nine catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the Lions in rushing in the win, clocking 68 yards on two carries. He was a major part of the team’s win against Washington.

St. Brown, a fourth round pick, was the first NFL player to catch eight passes and score a touchdown in six straight games during the game. He’s going for another record during this Sunday’s game against the Vikings, following his tie with Michael Thomas and Antonio Brown with a streak of at least eight catches in eight consecutive games.
