Michigan: These are the most popular baby names of 2022

Names.org has revealed the Most Popular Baby Names in Michigan in 2022, using data from the Social Security Administration and user interest on the organization’s website. After all, it’s fun to see which baby names are trending in the state.

When it comes to boy names, Noah ranks No. 1, with Liam and Oliver just behind. One new boy name is on the list for 2022: Lucas. Eight of Michigan’s top 10 boy names also made the national top 10 list. The two names that are exclusively on Michigan’s list are Theodore and Jack.

For girl names, Amelia, Charlotte, and Olivia are the most popular. Two new girl names on are the list for 2022: Harper and Eleanor. As with the boy names, eight of Michigan’s top 10 girl names are also on the national top 10 list. The names that are exclusively on Michigan’s list are Harper and Eleanor.

Since 1880, the Social Security Administration has published the totals for the first names from all Social Security card applications for births annually.
