Brazil suffered cancellation of at least one flight because of the ashes of the Ubinas volcano, which erupted in southern Peru on Friday.
According to the airline Azul, flight 2934 from Cuiabá to Curitiba and connecting to Campo Grande was canceled on Saturday morning, due to the arrival of volcanic ash.
At present, the affected area is located in part of the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná and São Paulo.
According to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), there was no need to close airspace. Meteorological Surveillance Centers continue monitoring and gathering information in case of any change.
The companies Latam and Gol reported that they had no cancellations.
Infraero reiterates that all airports managed by the company continue to operate normally. Being these Campo Grande and Corumbá in Mato Grosso do Sul; Curitiba, Foz do Iguaçu and Londrina in Paraná; Guarulhos, Congonhas and Sao Jose dos Campos in Sao Paulo; Cuiaba in Mato Grosso.
